Location: Gower Road, Weybridge, Surrey, United Kingdom
Discreetly tucked back on one of Weybridge's most prestigious roads this deceptively spacious gated home offers a superior lifestyle and a wealth of privacy. Detached and impeccably styled with soft shades of grey and an abundance of statuesque windows, its breath-taking gardens give a truly idyllic backdrop while a hugely versatile and fluid layout includes four exemplary reception rooms in which to relax and entertain. Perfectly situated for all the restaurants, stores and mainline station of central Weybridge, Pinewood Lodge is within easy reach of tennis and golf clubs as well as highly regarded schools rated as Outstanding by Ofsted.

From the majestically tall firs and foliage that border a brick paved gated driveway, to the Wisteria vines that climb the bay windows of the period facade, this detached home creates an undeniably enchanting first impression.

Behind a welcoming frontage lies an unexpectedly spacious interior that's both exemplary in its presentation and fluid in its arrangement. Blending the rich tones of herringbone Amtico flooring (chosen specifically for it's hard wearing qualities) with a classic grey and white palette, a superb double aspect sitting room instantly gives a feeling of sophistication and grandeur. A lovely amount of natural light tumbles in through a duo of picture perfect sash windows framed by their wood shutters, enhancing the intricate architraves and distinguished fireplace, while south-facing French doors entice you out onto a large paved patio. Across the central hallway an additional drawing room with bay windows adds to the sense of space generating an additional reception room with the versatility to cater to your own particular needs.

Sleek, stylish yet highly functional for a busy modern household, the cleverly designed family room and kitchen combine to generate an open plan feel that's ideal for spending time together. Beneath a fabulous roof lantern the family room supplies a great place to relax and unwind. Fitted shelves and cabinets sit neatly within a wide alcove without encroaching on the floor space, while further French doors make it easy to step outside. Sympathetically styled, the excellent kitchen has a central island, a coveted amount of storage and a first class Rangemaster cooker. The etched grooves of superb marble countertops flow into an under-mounted sink, and brick metro tiled splashbacks complement the finish. Perfect for both family meals and dinner with friends, the easy flowing layout extends into the adjoining dining room. Light filled, its generous double aspect proportions invite you out onto the patio for al fresco dining in the summer sun. A separate utility room has discreet space for your laundry appliances, and a cloakroom completes this tremendous ground floor.

The central staircase leads the way upstairs where warm neutral tones lend a calm and peaceful feel to five bedrooms. A triple aspect principal bedroom is a tranquil retreat at the end of the day and benefits from tastefully chosen fitted wardrobes and a refined en suite bathroom that has a sumptuous freestanding roll top bath, heritage washstand and walk-in shower. Fantastic for teenagers in need of their sense of space, an additional double bedroom has an en suite shower room, while the additional three share the contemporary family shower room with its rainfall shower.

Outside:

Magnificently bordered by a copious amount of statuesque evergreen trees and shrubs, a gated brick paved driveway immediately lends a superior first impression, a high degree of seclusion and off-road parking for several vehicles.

Step out from the ground floor onto a south-facing patio that provides the perfect escapism from the hubbub of daily life. Sit back and unwind with a morning coffee or an evening aperitif and admire the quintessential English country garden that reaches out before you and the blue and white blooms of the bordering agapanthus and hydrangeas.

Beautifully planted tall firs, shrubs and hedgerows frame the rolling long lawns giving a prized feeling of privacy and a truly picturesque backdrop. Stretch your legs and take a stroll across these idyllic gardens to a wonderful children's play area that sits at the end of the lawns beneath the dappled shade of soaring fir trees.

Here's what the owners say...

"If we were staying in England we would never be moving, this was our forever home when relocating from Richmond. It's got so much character and had we not moved out of the country we had plans to enhance the ground floor by knocking the kitchen through to the dining room and installing a raised glass roof above it.

Our neighbours are divine, so much so that one of the saddest things about leaving will be not seeing them and their two small and quiet dogs on a regular basis and going for walks together. The house is in such a great position. On the other side of us there's a really well-maintained and managed complex of mainly owner occupied apartments and it always feel a really safe place to live.

I used to work in Bank, London and with the station only a 15 minute walk from the house it meant that in the rush hour commute I could be in my office within an hour.

There's a David Lloyd gym nearby which is great and really good schools in both the state and private sector. If you're moving out of London with kids there's so much to do with them here, and we love going to the Garsons Farm Shop in nearby Esher for their organic food and the lovely cafe."
